THE COURSE IS NOT FULL, YOU MUST COMPLETE ONLINE REGISTATION FIRST TO ADD THIS TO YOUR SCHEDULE Development and Implementation of Basic Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) - Day 1 of 2
Saturday February 1, 2025 8:00am - 4:00pm AKST
**You must register online for this pre-conference class to attend this course. Once you complete your online registration, you will be added to this pre-conference session by the admin. This workshop is capped at 10 ppl.

Note: All participants need to be Special education teachers, IEP case managers, school psychologists and other related service providers, administrators with approximately 1 or more years of experience to attend this 2-day course.

Participants will gain an understanding of how to conduct a "basic" functional behavioral assessment (FBA) to guide the development implementation of function-based positive behavior intervention plans (BIP) for students with mild to moderate problem behavior. The training content and methods have been designed to train certificated special educators (e.g., IEP case managers and certificated specialists) involved in the IEP process. The Basic FBA/BSP training methods are specifically designed for students with mild to moderate problems. These methods are NOT designed to address complex, severe, unsafe, or dangerous behaviors, which would require the support of a behavior specialist, school psychologist, or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. By the course's conclusion, participants will understand how to prevent problem behavior and explicitly teach and reinforce preferred and replacement behaviors, decreasing challenging behaviors.
